I think they're a great engine. My 1986 D150 with 318 ran 19.22 at the track. My 92 D150 318 magnum went 16.22 totally stock off the showroom floor. Better fuel mileage too. So a 3 second better power and way more reliable than this Gen III Hemi crap we're stuck with now with their camshaft, lifter and manifold issues.
