Well I've started collecting parts for my stroker build. A new to me 5.7 block that cost 100 bucks, Callies 4.05 stroker crank new to me cost 450, forged 6.125 rods with the big end 2.1 and the small end .927 spanking new 230, used 6.1 lifters with retainers 75 bucks, 5.7 heads new to me 150 greenbacks.
My Charlies oil pan and pick up will be re-used along with the timing cover. I'll get a new balancer, factory or aftermarket is still up in the air. My chrome valve covers may get re-used, but I'm leaning toward the oem's that I have and mounting old school style breathes. Cam is still undecided. Pistons that I've been eyeing are from Wiesco and are 11 to 1 with the stock 85cc heads.
Just thought I would put this out there and see what happens with the comments. I'm still gathering parts, so that when it's time, I just need to swap over a few parts and be done in a couple hours.
