So ,very soon I'll be swapping out my 11:1 hemi pistons to 14:1 compression.
my 65 hemi belvedere goes 9.69 in good air to 9.89 in bad air.
So I'm wondering what gains I'll be getting switching to 14:1's.
I got a .737 lift cam motion roller cam with decent duration.

I'm hoping to get 9.30's or better, what do you think?

Sounds like a whole new set of prblems... Alot of other things to consider with that change. I'm guessing you are close to sea level in NY. I would wanna run methanol with that much pop but you are stuck in class rules right?

Wow, I was kidding, I didn't think these high compression motors would run on regular pump gas; even 93 octane!

11:1 is really no problem with pump gas.
my pure stock A12 superbee goes high 11's on pump gas with 11.3:1

That Blue Bondo Bucket of yours couldn't run 9.60's racing down a mine shaft! :rolling::rolling:

Just Kidding!

It's defiantly going to get you closer. We had a guy that was running with us going 9.2's - 9.1's with motor that size. in a 65 A990 Coronet, I'm sure he was running around 14:1. I'll give them a call and find out.

Now I would think the other factor would be tire size, I'm not sure if you get a 31" tall tire under there. I know they are making 31X10.5's now.

Running 9.60's - 9.70's with 11:1 small cam and pump gas.... easy on the motor, less maintenance.

Two things:

1. I don't know the answer to your question but i will bet that the F.A.S.T. guys can give you an idea as i know some of them are running that kind of compression.

2. I repoed the stationary wheel discs you have on your car and created a much cooler graphic than the original "ride with the Dodge Boys" white hat picture. check it out.
If you want I can sell you a pair of the graphics that you could install on the reverse side of your discs and could switch back and forth as fast as you can unscrew the disc.

yes i run 31 x 10.5w x15 M/T drag slicks.
tried other brands but these seem to hook best over the year.
Hoosiers work for 35-38 passes then go away.

My 440 is just about 11:1 and I run 92-93 pump premium as well...

Running high 10's with stock displacement and iron heads...
