How is the trim it does have? Grill? Tail lights? Window trim? Anything that missing could be a problem.... There aren't allot of parts cars left...

Do you want to build a
street legal car or a race car?
The plan is to build a fast and simple street car. However, the car got away from me. Sometimes things aren't meant to be. It kept getting more complicated and then the deal didn't go through. Someone got a decent start but it wasn't me. I did learn about the cars which was fun and maybe later I will get a 62. But that car wasn't it. Kinda sad but I have my eye on another Mopar so I will pursue that next month. The biggest bummer was that I had a lot of time and fuel etc. into this deal but I did learn something so it is all good in the end. I appreciate your help!

As far as I could tell. And I agree there wasn't much missing that I could see. In fact I am not aware of anything missing. Deal didn't go through so I am off to go after another car.

Not raggin on your loss by any means, but i guess we are gonna assume it was likely worth the 5 grand then???

Best of luck on the next one!! I went to an auction in Indiana last year where the guy had a small barn full of '62s and many, many parts. I think there were three complete cars and one was drivable. It all got scooped up, and a lot of it was by one buyer. So none of it got wasted (AFAIK), and I'd bet those parts and cars are/will be back on the market in time.

Basically, I was happy to pay the 5k or even a little over but I wanted him to kick in some extra parts. I would even pay more.

I just didn’t feel like I wanted to pay a flat 5K for the car alone. It was really close to me, but I decided and he encouraged for us to go into talks about more parts.

We never did get to specifics and then the car was sold. There’s more to it but it is what it is. I’m letting it go moving on life is a OK.

I have bought quite a few cars from older gentleman. Most of the time it works really really good for both parties and everybody is happy. I am kind because I’m going to be in their shoes in a few years. This time it didn’t work.

Sorry you missed this one. I have two 62 Plymouths and the comments I get vary from “that’s the ugliest car I’ve ever seen”. (Mostly from women) to “are you going to put a max wedge in that?” (from Chev guys) Either way they are unique but don’t limit yourself to one particular year.
