Does anyone have a photo of the proper hump location. I am trying to put it in my 63 original auto convertible. I have both a 63 repop hump & orgin. 68 B-Body hump. Neither look correct for floor. The 63 hump sits back to far and shifter is at front edge(not centered) in the hole, but it does fit floor. 68 centers ok but doesn't fit the floor.:ImNewHere:

I had a similar issue when I converted my '65. There's really only one way that the repop hump fits. Had to cut and reweld my new shifter lever to center it. It's all inside the hump though so nobody is any the wiser. One thing that I strongly advise: When you locate the hump, use a rattle can to mark the location on the floor and then lay down some masking tape the width of the hump flange. Then you can make a nice cut on the inside of your rattlecan mark. I also used sheet metal screws to make the joint nice and tight before welding. Then just pull the screws and weld up the holes.

hope this helps

If you put the repop hump on the tunnel and push it forward as far as you can you should be in the right place the hole in the tunnel was cut with a torch from the factory. The edge of the hump should be very close to the seem of the firewall.

I noticed in your photo it looks like your fire wall has a flat shot were it comes down to hump. Is this what I am seeing. I have a standard 3speed parts car and it 's fire wall & hump are just like my auto car. Is the shifter centered front to back, I guess it should be offset to drivers side some. Sure Thank everyone
