63 Only

Good start but a lot of work. It will be worth it in the end. I like it.

I have everything to put a built Slant in my 63. Right now it's a 70 318. But if the teen goes south, A Slanter it will be !
Life time fan of the Slant !

I drive a 1963 Savoy with a 225 slant 6 3 on the tree as my daily. It runs very well. The car is in my avatar.

Depending on how wide the tire is 15x8 4 BS can cut it close to rubbing the outer wheel house.
Usually one side more than the other. No 2 Mopars are the same as far as tolerances.
On my early B's I would use factory 15x7 4 1/4 BS with no problem. My 63 has drag radials 275/60/15 with plenty of room.

Well, just passed the 3 year mark on the "re-do" of my '63 330. I've got a bunch of sub-assemblies done, waiting on the engine build, next in line, and the bottom of the car has been painted. Trying to get the ducks in a row, so the assembly will go smooth as it can. Maybe top paint for Xmas, and driving late Summer, early Fall...View attachment 677327 View attachment 677328 View attachment 677329 View attachment 677330
I like your sub frame connectors. 2X3 tubing through the floor? Outstanding workmanship.
What about interior? I am having a really difficult time finding seat covers for my '63 Polara convertible. Bench seat center armrest.

I have 255/70x15 on 15x8 4"bs wheels for my 62. I wanted 275, but they would have rubbed.
A few days ago, we fitted my rims/tires to another members 64 polara with stock 8 3/4, and they would not fit.(he wanted to see what rims he needed for piecrusts) . He needed at least 5" backspace on an 8 or 8.5 rim because of the wider 64 rear.
4.5 or 4.75 bs fits much better than 4"bs.

The frame ties are US Cartool, weld in. I don't think you'll find any seat covers for a '63 Dodge. Legendary makes some for Plymouth, but No Dodge. I've asked them every time I seen them at Carlisle, about this. You can get original material from SMS, and find a local shop to stitch em up for you. That's what I ended up doing...

He could always put a narrower '63 rear end in it. This is what Chrysler did for their Super Stock cars. ....or a '66 - '67 rear end with one-piece axles.

Thank you. I just sent them a message.
Your car is so darn nice that an old timer like me doesn't need viagra tonight.

I've been working on safety and reliability first. 440 .030 over flat top 2355 pistons. Isky 292 mega cam, 440 source CNC ported stealths, Dougs coated headers with Magnaflow see thru's. RPM intake with 750 holley DP. Full MSD ignition. New fuel tank and sender with dual filters. new disc brakes in the front and shoes in the rear. New bushings, Ball joints strut rods, calvert std splits with caltrac bars. 275/60/15 coopers. Fully built 727 with billet internals, full manual reverse valve body and a drive shaft with u joints at both ends. finished with a 3000 stall converter. Im still doing more tuning to make it not so rich off idle. But it really runs great now. Next is lights and dash then maybe cosmetics and rust.

My wife drew this many years ago and my friend Phil carved the other one about 13 or 14 years ago.
