Any reason why I can't lube the inside of the gasket with a little white lithium grease to aid glass in sliding in? I installed the gasket and want to now slip in glass.
I always had a neighbor down the road that was a glass tech. Now here in Tx they all want $125 and up per glass. ha

I sure would'nt do it... Thats an awful special piece of glass. I'd hate to see you lose it because you permanently lubed it instead of using a little sealer to help it in......

What's the glass worth vs. the cost of installing it?

I won't break it, RoadKills famous words?? If I did the wife would kill me? Maybe. I will add some shampoo to water, and try that, more slippery.

Not sure of the specifics but are you sure you don't install the gasket on the glass and use a 1/8" Cotton rope to pull the gasket on the pinch weld?? Again not sure of the install without looking at it...

I would agree, at least with other cars, thats how you do it. But I've never had a 64 back window in/out

The glass guy did the windshield the opposite way, gasket to car, then glass. I called him and said come put it IN!!!!
Rear window is opposite. Gasket on glass then rope pull onto fence around opening. Goop in bottom of both grooves.
