'64 Plymouth S/S

Summit sells replacement low back seats for older Jeeps that kinda look like old S/S seats. I think they were just under $300. each.
Yep, I've seen those. They only come in black or peanut butter brown. At that price point, I'd want them to be exactly right. At the price I paid, they can be a little goofy :)

Correct I paid $50 for both

I paid more than that, but I think they’re well worth what I paid.

I got some seat brackets at Summit after work and went to town. I think these are going to work out okay. The driving position is much improved over the cockeyed, sloped downhill, and mounted too-far forward (with three bolts) seat that was in it before.

I’m glad these seats aren’t any bigger. It’s cozy in there with the cage.

I’ll get pics of my seats but they look exactly like yours, same color too. I see the front bar goes in front of dash, I bent mine to do that too, didn’t want to cut up dash. I have X bars on side so I’m not sure how easy it will be to get my fat butt over them lol. I have a bar going out front to frame, don’t like it, might remove it. My inner fenders had been cut for fenderwell headers so Im taking the whole piece out of the four door parts car. Engine that’s going in it 597 cubes

I cut some red plexiglass covers to go in the inboard headlights. I might paint it black back there eventually, but it's fine for now.

The fiberglass front bumper was looking pretty beat when I got it, and it was cracking badly around the bolt holes. We pulled it off, made some repairs, and added some steel washers behind the bolt holes. A little paint and voila, good as new.

Last weekend we got busy changing up the colors a bit. A bunch of old Plymouth race cars had a stripe running across the hood, roof, and trunk so I went for it. Also painted the rear wheels to match the stripe.

Very nice job with your 64 sir. Doing a 64 Polara somewhat similar to yours in Medium Turquoise Metallic. Going to try and squeeze a tunnelram on a lowdeck under the hemi scoop. Your 64 has just the right stance with a little bit of rake. Nice. Jim

Calvert sent another sleeve, and I got the rear suspension back together. I think it looks better, and I can now feel the rear suspension working back there. I was so excited, we took it out for bbq - and it rained. LOL. You can guess how much fun this car is on wet streets. Ah well, it was still pretty awesome to finally drive this thing a bit. It did great! Now I've got a baseline for starting to dial in the tune.
