The odomenter in my coronet isnt working, but the speedometer works fine. Ive never taken a speedometer apart but, im assuming there must be a gear inside thats broken? If so, where can i find replacement parts?

I'd look on the website for someone parting a Coronet or a Belvedere/Satellite of the same year. You didn't say what year your Coronet was?

Sorry, its a 65. Is it a part thats reproduced, or do i have to find an original?

You stated 65 in your title.

A lot of times, when the odometer flips three or four numbers over, it puts a strain on the plastic gear and it will strip the teeth off. I would look for a good used one and replace it or use it for parts. They're not too hard to work on, just a little tedious. Almost like a clock but not as complex.

Good luck...

I know this is an old post, but thought I would reply.

Same thing just happened to my 67 Coronet...odometer stopped at 24600. Inspected the worm gear driving the odometer, and sure enough it's damaged. So now looking to find replacement parts.

My research indicates the speedos for many 60's cars were made by King Seely. so using the mfger and every key word I could think of, I haven't been able to locate parts, or anyone willing to sell the parts without servicing?

Seems silly to by another used speedo, only to have the same issue.
Anyone have any luck in this department either repairing the damaged gear, finding a replacement, or even 3D printing a new one?

I just got my 65 Coronet cluster back from Auto Instruments Friday. They rebuilt the speedometer, calibrated the temp gauge. reinked the odometer wheels, and resoldered a old circuit board repair. Not cheap but, it's my daily driver (nonsalt season). My only complaint is the $83.00 UPS charge.
