67 charger Hood latch spring

Looking for assistance on installing a return spring on my latch. I see the eyelit on the lever but where do you hook the other end of the spring, correctly?

I have attached a few photos of my lever.

Second pic of the latch, a couple inches to the left, you will see a little pin hole. Spring end hook comes up through that hole, once installed, the spring end protrudes up, and the tip of the end spring is visible. Just made my way out to the shop, thanks for the motivation LOL, back to the second pic, you see that hole to the left, there is a duplicate hole (not a smaller hole) a couple of inches or so to the left... that is where the spring mounts.
