Hi started the thread in Welcome Wagon about the new to me Satellite. I got under it and got a few pictures of engine transmission and Differential. Anyone able to decode them for me?

383 motor with later 8-3/4 rear that has the heavy duty tapered pinion rear axle. Looks like its been to the drag strip? Does that help?

Post the numbers that are on the trans. pad shown in the second picture. In front of the passenger side cylinder head on the engine deck surface there will be more numbers and letters. They will tell you the model year and build date of the engine.
