'68 Charger AC ducts?

Can anyone explain for what these are?
The inner are defrost, but the outer one's.
I have seen them on a '70 Charger, but never on a '68.
It is an AC car and an early build.

Yep.

For stereo.

So IIRC that car had either an am/fm stereo or a stereo tape player.

My 73 Challenger had those and I saved them when it went to the scrap yard.
