I’m just getting started on my 68 charger project. I sold this car 30 years ago when I went to college. After many years of looking, I found the car on blocks rotting in someone’s backyard. After 5 years of trying to buy the car back, the owner finally gave in and sold it to me. The plan is a modern drivetrain, Tubular K-Member, rack and pinion, coil overs, Gen 3 Hemi engine. Either a blown 6.1 or hellcat. But first Evict the mice, tear it down, get the paint off and start on the metal work.

"Rotting away" must mean something different in California than it does here in Pennsylvania. Looks like a pretty nice car. Who doesn't love a 1968 Charger.

Welcome to FBBO from Sonora Ca.

nice 68 Charger project

Congrats. Welcome. Sounds ambitious. Spring Fling Van Nuys next weekend will have lots of parts in the swap area. Good motivation to see finished cars too.

Hi and welcome aboard!
Thanks for joining the forum!
I'm about 70 miles East of you off the 58 a little past Tehachapi
Great story!
Glad you have the car back.
Not many can say that.

Very cool. Congrats- alot of us would give up certain parts of our anatomy to have our old cars back! Good luck on the build.

Congrats on finding your old car, good luck on the resto, and welcome from AZ. Definitely an iconic Mopar!
