Back again with another prospective car that I'm sure will discover many issues as my investigation continues. I have messaged the seller with my cell phone number and asked for underbody and trunk pictures. I see some hints of corners cut, and am sure the experts will have useful feedback here. Having said that it's close enough I could go see it, but I want to see if the sales price expectations is way out of my range before I plan a trip.

So, experts let's begin!

Yep those shackles scream hillbilly to me.

Seller responded and said underbody pictures will be posted tomorrow.

I just messaged the seller and asked if the car is available for a viewing and test drive this weekend.

Cleaner than expected, but it is a deep south car. Someone spent a bit of coin. $$$ ECS correct mufflers, steering box appears rebuilt. Why the rubber wrap on the torsion bar?

Wiring is sketchy
missing the trim above the tail panel
quarter panels should have been blocked a couple more times...
rear bumper has a big dip on the D/S
Bottom side looks pretty solid
later model discs have been added...

Looks like an honest bones car but the body work is tuff and they built it to sell it.

Are the interior a-pillars painted sub-lime? The inner fenders also look like a darker shade of green than the body color. Washer bottle gone? If the price is right, it’s worth looking at in person. Underbody looks good.

Steering wheel is clocked wrong.

Engine bay is a darker shade of green?

Passenger door looks like it is inset along the back edge.

Passenger door window fit into roofline looks odd.

Maybe the seller's pictures or my cellphone, but the green looks lighter than I remember.

Looks like I should have refreshed my screen before posting.

Take a fridge magnet...

Doors will never sit correct without seals in place. Push the handle button in and hold them flush with the quarters and see how they look.

The F1 cars I remember were actually lighter than this green.
