What's it Worth 68 Coronet R/T on eBay. YEP it's green!

Take a fridge magnet...

Doors will never sit correct without seals in place.
I'm biting my tongue,, but yes they should close perfectly without the seals.. :)

Edit; will amend this, as far as alignment gaps.. but not the final in / out of the rear of the door

Seller messaged that trunk is original and the car has spent the last 10 years in California. He believes the car was in Utah before.

Totally get what you're saying . I was referring to the top/ bottom being in and out. Getting those 68-70 doors bodyworked and aligned properly is way harder than a 66-67. IMO.

Obviously corners have been cut. It just listed for sale and I assume he's overwhelmed with messages. Perhaps he'll call?

Bakersfield is 10 hours from me. I'll see what my work schedule is tomorrow and think about it.

For posterity:

It doesn't look like it's worth a 20 hour round trip to me.

My buddies uncle has a 68 bee that color he bought new. Probably 30k miles. Time capsule.

shackles beg questions
First thing I noticed
Yep those shackles scream hillbilly to me.

Wiring is sketchy
Second thing I noticed. What are all the excess wires on the radiator support.
Looks like an honest bones car but the body work is tuff and they built it to sell it.
Lower rockers are wavy as crap. Painted door light switches and penstar emblem on fender. Paint inside door hinges and under hood is a different color green.
The inner fenders also look like a darker shade of green than the body color.
They are
Dash pad has a crack in it
2 cracks

Extreme winters salt and snow area.

This car looks like they put a fresh coat of paint on it to sell it. The car wasn’t stripped at all to paint. If the motor was out for rebuild why didn’t the engine compartment get painted? Why weren’t the doors taken off to paint? The motor compartment looks like ****. Rusty everything for a fresh rebuild less than 500 miles ago. Run away, they obviously put lipstick on a pig. This car would need complete restoration. It’s looks solid and a good starting point. Problem is it’s an 68 RT so it’s not gonna go cheap. If you could get it for $40k or less (which I doubt) then yes. It would be a good driver but nowhere near any type of show quality, and a 68RT deserves to be restored completely and correctly. It’s a special car.

They can't all be fully restored show cars... Some actually get driven & enjoyed.... I'll be the first to admit, it deserves a better resto than it got but "completely & correctly"??? Nah..

"Extreme winters salt and snow area." ????
Have you looked at the undercarriage? It looks like a dry car to me... Beat to death but not rusty...

My Coronet started life the same way... Bought it from the original owner, not a straight panel on the car.. But no serious damage either... Guy was a drunk, crashed into anything & everything.. At 5 MPH...

shouldn't it have rocker trim?........I had 2 68 R/Ts, both had it

I did say it looks like a solid car. No they can’t all be show cars, but I’m not wasting my money on a 68 RT if it ain’t close.
