I am painting my 68 Coronet Conv. I want to paint it Bright Red, as we know there was a late year Bright Red in 68 and then in 69. I am woundering if anyone knows if ther is a recent red that is a close match to this paint. Or if there is an aftermarket paint that is a close match. Thanks

How about the new Camaro color. I have a 68 GTX that I want to repaint scorched red from 69, which is the same as the Dodge bright red. The car now is red, but a much more orange red.

Thanks, anyone have any comments on how cloase Viper Red is to the original 33-1 Bright Red .

Thanks

When my car was painted. The paint shop had a paint chip book from chrysler from back in the day and matched it with there computer system. then I went a different brand paint but same color. I would think they could match red too.

If you want the redest car you have ever seen paint it with red toner. I saw a car painted like that and it was amazing. You can have 10 guys arguing over who has the redest car then you drive up in your toner red hooptie and there will be silence.

I didn't realize just how "eye poppin" That Viper red was. With the black top on that Charger its a beauty Stuart.. Ive seen Viper red on other cars, im wondering why this one looks so much better.. Has to be the black setting it off better, There is so many shades of red its unreal and the guy i buy all my paint from told me he could match any shade of color if he has something to go by, IF you want the original color i mean.. Most all uses base coat/clearcoat now which makes a big difference in what it would look like, I use acrylic enamel for my past cars ive done, has a good shine but more like original years ago then the more popular Base/clear now.. something to think about depending on what your looking for.. Below is the original paint for your car if you would need it for anything, one 68 and the other 69 for what you said of the later color add for red. Hope this may help, in my signature theres pages right after i painted it to give you an idea what the acrylic enamel would give you (shine quality). Good luck.
