Are there cruise control kits available to install on a 68 roadrunner? Don’t bust my chops, on normal driving I always use cruise control. I don’t have to keep looking at the speedometer and it keeps me from speeding!

I installed a Rastra kit on my 65. Works great and the tech support is really good. We just got back from a 3300 mile trip and the cruise worked great.

I would round up all the factory pieces out of a junk yard. Most 60's through late 70's and some pieces into the 80's are all the same pieces. My red 70 Charger R/T S.E. is a factory cruise car. I hardly ever use it these days as these cars don't get driven on the freeway regularly anymore.

Is that a magnet on the flywheel kit? I put one on one of my tool trucks. It worked well. Borg Warner if I remember.

This is the kit I used. When I was a tech I installed aftermarket speed control kits. This kit installed easily, sets without loosing or gaining speed, and holds speeds great. I had an issue at installation, called the support line got a tech almost immediately. He identified the issue quickly and gave me ideas to make sure it preformed perfectly.
I used the G. M. style turn signal lever with the switch. I did have to modify to fit the Mopar switch.
I have a friend that had a Fury with cruise control that he sai I could strip and have. Looked like way too much work. I drive the wheels off of my Satellite and don’t mind the aftermarket look, besides the servo and computer is all in one small package.

I paid extra for the cable sensor. I installed lots of the magnet kits in the 80s, they worked great but the cable sensor is easier.

Thanks Scott. Something I may look into. I use cruise all the time on the open road. It allows me to move my feet and legs around for better circulation and chasing away leg cramps.

I have restless leg syndrome and sometimes my feet move involuntarily. It keeps me from hitting the gass

I installed cruise control on my 1964 Polara, and a 1967 Coronet wagon I used to own. This was back in the days when you could still find good donor cars in the junk yards. I used '70's Cordoba stuff. No magnets; cable driven from the transmission.

I understand the cruise units are hard to find now (good used ones) Also, no one reproduces the diaphragms which is usually what goes wrong with them. Just what I have read.
