69 Charger, Trim on Door?

1969 Charger R/T S/E.

It looks like there was something glued to the door of my Charger in the past. Cant find any pictures of Chargers with a moulding here. Was this a factory option on these cars? Trying to restore to Original condition as best I can and don't want to leave it out if it was meant to be there.

Btw this pic is from when I first rescued her out of the barn, don't worry I've washed her since lol.

I had something similiar on my 69 Charger except it was riveted on but from what I understand it didn't come from the factory that way it was usually a dealer added moulding to help prevent parking lot door dings. My personal opinion it looks way better without it.

Ok Thank You! My uncle said it was on the car when he bought it new so it must have been a dealer add-on. I agree it looks better without it!
