Goon I also plan on electric cutouts for pissing off the neighbors.

I have wanted electric cutouts from day one. Then I get online and read reviews about the butterflies failing to close and I get scared ***. So I come across the Doug's with the guillotine style and think "that's better!" Look at reviews on those and they say the motors and gears are cheap and they may fail sooner than they should.

It seems to be a luck of the draw. Dennis H has the butterfly style and has never had an issue.

I have the jegs butterfly ones , I got a early dyno report but I'll let Jim share.

Dying to see those dyno numbers too.

I'll be awaiting your review on the cutouts. Does Jegs have their own brand of them?

I've been running the QTP electric cutouts now for over 2 years and never once had a problem with them. Keep em cleaned and lubed and they should be trouble free. And I tend to run them open 95% of the time.

Dyno update 577hp @ 5700 and still tuning, yee haw!

Damn!!! Nice!!! Can't wait to see where it ends up and see the dyno sheet for the whole curve.

It's going to plant your *** in the seat for sure!

Thanks Goon, does it pas the Fer Racin test?
So this first test is with the Victor single plane with max wedge ports. So needless to say it's not optimum but a bench mark.
Oh BTW latest update 591HP & 562 ft lbs.

Haven't done anything but fiddle with the fuel mixture and a little bit of timing. This engine is going to run with a 6-bbl so we aren't wasting a bunch of time on these other combinations.

Me, I think I'll run the dual plane.................

The power band looks perfect for me! I'm going to retain the column shift. I installed the max wedge governor in the trans so it would shift @ 58-5900 RPM Put it in D for Drag and floor it and watch tach.

The numbers look great! Congrats on your new engine, I love the orange - Power On Team Laroy!

MT what were your final #s?

545HP - 565TQ

The crazy thing is Bone, MT_Mopar and 69 GTX basically just have different cams. And any of those 440s are just an intake manifold, carburetor, camshaft and valve spring change away from 680-700HP. Those engines really are capable of those power ranges.

Small correction here. The Victor intake we used here is stock port size. The ports in your heads are raised .060" above standard port size. So we have a smaller manifold port going into a bigger head port. We raised the ports on the heads and the 6bbl to allow us to get all the flow we could out of the 6bbl intake when we ported it. I believe the 6bbl might beat the Victor and RPM torque and power figures. I haven't dyno'd a 6bbl setup (and unported it was) since 2006 when we made right at 600tq/600hp with a 451 stroker, 452 iron heads and a 254/260 @ .050 solid roller cam. It might just be wishful thinkin', we're giving up 20 degrees of duration here, but it could happen. We've been running with an 850 cfm 4bbl carburetor and the three 2bbl carburetors on the 6bbl equal a 960cfm 4bbl.

Yes I know the center carb is rated 350cfm and the two outer carburetors are rated at 500cfm for a total of 1,350cfm, but remember, 2bbls and 4bbls are rated at different depressions.
