Is one more desirable today over the other. The post cars rear seat glass pops open, and the no post glass rolls down. Is that correct?

That's just personal preference , I like both, the post would be a coupe and the roll down glass would be the hard top the coupe would be good for keeping your small kids and dogs from climbing out and the hard top is nice to have all rolled down while cruising

I agree personal preference, post is usually considered a cheaper car, but the body is stronger and will hold up a little better. We cracked the door latch on our charger from the body flexing... Its pretty common when you start making power w a hard top.. the post cars should take more abuse.

My 68 is a post and my 69 is a hardtop, it's a B body , what's not to love about it ! Lol
Have you noticed that the B body is one of the few cars that the roof line does not change between the post and hardtop models

HT's here for me, nothing better than an uninterrupted roof line. In a 383 RR from 68 or 69 it looks like HT is 5-10% more. Its negligible and it would be based on production numbers on a specific model. A lot less posts vs HT may drive prices up a little. Hemi or A12 car could be the other way around to, not sure. Historically the pecking order for value, relative to muscle cars, is Convertible, HT, then post.

I prefer a post car & I personally like them better with the cheaper interior & without the stainless trim. But today, 52 years on, one can't be that picky.

On a 2 door, yeah. The 4 door and wagons had a taller roof and different windshields and back windows, right?

Yes, I meant 2 doors,,, I noticed that the darts are different between the hardtop and sedan

I didn't think one had any real value advantage over the other? I always thought that came down to the meat-n'-taters stuff like drivetrain options. 'Desirability' seems like a tough call because it's usually 50/50 and is such a personal taste thing.
I lean towards the hardtops myself....there's just something about cruising with all the windows down and all that uninterrupted space that says '60s freedom'.

Road Runners look very long. A post car is visually shorter.
