Problem #1: The seat on the passenger side will not "latch" in that if u use the seat adjust lever on the driver side to adjust the seat back/forward with a passenger in .the passenger side. The seat on passenger side will move with acceleration or braking, back and forth.

Problem #2: I need the name and a source for the chrome handle/knob that fits on the back of the front seat latch to let the back fold forward for access to the back seat. Seems both of mine have cracked and won't stay on.

Thanks

As for your seat. You may have a gummed up latch on the passenger side, keeping the teeth from latching, or with someone in the passenger seat either the latching mechanism or the 'piano wire' (the wire that connects passenger latch to the lever) is getting pinched with someone in the seat.

It is much easier to work on with the seat assembly outside the car. Good news is it is only held in with 4 studs that go through the floor (nuts on underside of car).
Note: You will need to 'un-weave' the seatbelts coming off the center hump from the seat to get the seat out.

With it removed you can flip it over to see just what's going on and make any obvious adjustments or do any required cleaning & lubing. You can also drill & mount a couple 2x4s to studs and operate it on the garage floor/ driveway to see what's going on. You will need to drill countersunk holes to get the nuts on the studs. Make sure you have excess 2x4 sticking out the back (about 12 inches?) or you will flip the seat on it's back trying to test it! With it out, lying down looking up underneath while 2 people sit in it and actuate the seat it is much easier to identify any problems should you not get it straight just flipping it over.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. Latch handle/knob ordered last night. As for the seat that sounds like it will be added to the list of winter projects on the yellow beast. Thanks again for the advice.
