They have the 3/8" ribbon sealer. You can buy it from 3M. It's called Windo-Weld. They also make windo-weld resealant to fill in any gaps/pinholes the ribbon don't catch
The sealer your refering to is Butyl tape/sealer. if thats whats holding them in I would not recomend using it unless you use urethane sealer/adhesive in addition. The butyl is not that strong and will dry out. all windsheilds and back glass are set with urethane in modern vehicles, it will also stiffen the entire rear structure.
I believe you can get the proper ribbon sealer from any local car glass shop. They use the newest technologies and could give you the options between butyl and urethane.
I think you will decide to go with the urethane even if is not truly "restored."
I too have been searching for a back glass gasket and didn't know it was just sealed in there. Once again you guys come through with the real info. I should have checked here first. Thanks!
