A friend has asked me to help sell his car
Has a new 440 that is running but not broke in yet
Just new rings and gaskets on low mile engine
I do not know if it was original to the car
Seller has owned the car for 24 years
He is a body man and did all the work himself
Was his dream car so did some modifications to it
Would have been worth more if it was all stock than with the changes he has made
The car is totally rot and rust free now
So guess what I am asking is what a stock original car would have been worth vs what this car is
I imagine it will take longer to find the right buyer for it the way it is

Shaved the drip rail chrome
Shaved the door handles ( has door poppers now )
Set the front and back windows out so there is no stainless trim around the glass and it fits flush like a modern car
He put a 70 Charger front valence in under the front bumper so he could get rid of the original lights in the front bumper so he could take some height out of front bumper and then shorten it a bit to tuck it in at the ends

Looks like he spent a bunch of time making what looks like some high quality fabrications to the car. Unfortunately, they are not everyone's cup of tea, and not easily reversible. Might take awhile to find the right buyer for that one. Maybe list it on Carsonline and Ebay to get more exposure?

I think the biggest problem is that he had the car soooo long and been working on it that when he had his original vision of what he wanted it to look like was a style at one time but as time went by the style idea has worn off Kind of like the Pro Street thing were every body tubbed the back end to put the really wide tires on the cars and maybe a big blower out the hood At one time that looked cool but not so much anymore

Just because the exhaust is loud doesn't mean it will make 550 hp.
I do like the Underhood cold air intake that looks nice.

I think a car like that is well suited to the BJ auction crowd. A lot of died in the wool Mopar guys won't touch something like that. However a guy with a few bucks that doesn't know anything about old cars but is more prompted by visuals will buy it after having a few beers with his buddies egging him on. It looks like the quality of work is good too so that works in an auction setting as well.
