So this may be long winded... backstory its a 69 superbee originally 383 4BRL my father's friend bought the car in 79 and kept it in a carport but not garaged in the Portland OR (to understand weather exposure)sold it to me and my father for 4k ten years ago and we had kept it garaged until my father past a few years ago and due to foul play with his newly married wife I ended up having to buy the car 2nd time for 16k with mostly shot front suspension and bad Brake MS.
Since then I've replaced MS with Power Brakes, done Front Disc Conversion, Tie Rods, Ball joints, idler arm, sway links and bushings, got rid of points with a pertronics setup, blaster 2 coil, elderbrock 750cfm carb. The 440 is a '66 motor engine is stamped B440 next to distributor. I have the original 383 Block and Heads out at my moms but have no ideal what happened to the original motor and haven't had the time to take it apart but assume it needs completely rebuilt.
The center of the trunk is rotted through but around the sides is all solid just needs new trunk pan and there's surface rust off and on most the floor board but completely restorable, light rust on hood and trunk. It's never been wrecked except the trunk nothing is rusted through, the dash leather and plastic in great condition. I have original ram air intake for carb, door panels and atleast 90% if not all of the chrome trim and I have the chrome piece that says dodge that goes on the back of the car. I have original seats that were black but they're torn up. The ones in it now are green and torn up or cracking just as bad. The car was originally light blue.
My question is what is the car worth if I were to sell it with everything as is? And ball park of what would it be worth if I finished the restoration with quality paint job and would it be better to rebuild the 440 or original if I did so.
I'm 30 with a newborn son and I work full time as a tech at local shop where I don't make enough $ and living in an apartment so can't really do most the work here. I had motivation to get it done but now that it runs and drives I'm realizing how much time and money and garage I don't have to do it. I want to it's just not practical at this point.
