So this may be long winded... backstory its a 69 superbee originally 383 4BRL my father's friend bought the car in 79 and kept it in a carport but not garaged in the Portland OR (to understand weather exposure)sold it to me and my father for 4k ten years ago and we had kept it garaged until my father past a few years ago and due to foul play with his newly married wife I ended up having to buy the car 2nd time for 16k with mostly shot front suspension and bad Brake MS.

Since then I've replaced MS with Power Brakes, done Front Disc Conversion, Tie Rods, Ball joints, idler arm, sway links and bushings, got rid of points with a pertronics setup, blaster 2 coil, elderbrock 750cfm carb. The 440 is a '66 motor engine is stamped B440 next to distributor. I have the original 383 Block and Heads out at my moms but have no ideal what happened to the original motor and haven't had the time to take it apart but assume it needs completely rebuilt.
The center of the trunk is rotted through but around the sides is all solid just needs new trunk pan and there's surface rust off and on most the floor board but completely restorable, light rust on hood and trunk. It's never been wrecked except the trunk nothing is rusted through, the dash leather and plastic in great condition. I have original ram air intake for carb, door panels and atleast 90% if not all of the chrome trim and I have the chrome piece that says dodge that goes on the back of the car. I have original seats that were black but they're torn up. The ones in it now are green and torn up or cracking just as bad. The car was originally light blue.

My question is what is the car worth if I were to sell it with everything as is? And ball park of what would it be worth if I finished the restoration with quality paint job and would it be better to rebuild the 440 or original if I did so.

I'm 30 with a newborn son and I work full time as a tech at local shop where I don't make enough $ and living in an apartment so can't really do most the work here. I had motivation to get it done but now that it runs and drives I'm realizing how much time and money and garage I don't have to do it. I want to it's just not practical at this point.

Do you have a fender tag or broadcast sheet? Does it have N96 or J25 on it.
Car looks straight and solid.

If you rebuild it go with the original 383. To make it with your time to rebuild it do a nice job or it will be a harder sell if you do a quickie on it.

Is there anyway for you to put the car in storage? Maybe at a family members garage or rental storage location. If the car is paid for, it's only going cost you storage fees to keep it until your current situation improves. Maybe then, you will have a house with a garage where you can start working on it. You may regret selling a car your Dad and you worked on. Sometimes life gets in the way and you have to sell. But only you can decide if keeping the car and paying for storage is something you can swing.

I'd say 15-20k in this market most of the cars out West go East or overseas therefore the buyer must consider the additional cost of shipping.

That said, congratulations on being a new dad! Spend as much time with your family as you can. Cars will be there later in life. Yiu are in the era of many precious (and at times difficult) moments that you cannot re-live. This is the time to make the bond that will last the rest of your days. Time is noone's friend. Folks ask me why this or that isn't done (cars, driveway pot holes etc) and I showthem pictures like this

Hi neighbor.

I agree 15-20k depending on how much other rust there is, if you have the fender tag, column shift automatic or console, or 4 speed?

You said that time. money, family, and living in an apartment are limitations, so I won't even bother shooting you a value if you get it painted. Even IF you could swing a paint job, it would not improve the value more than you put $ into it anyway.

I will echo, since this was you Dad's car, I suggest finding a place to store it and see if your situation improves over time. That is, unless you are just not into the car. Good luck.

Any money you put into it, you may get back but you might lose. You won't make anything above what you spend on it. If you spend $5 on it today, maybe in 10 years that will pay $10 and maybe not. So don't spend anything on it hoping to make money on it. Projects go for a high price right now and it's a good time to off them IMO. On the other hand if you love it and have an attachment to it the other choice is to just store it inside until you have time/money to work on it.

It's n96 ram air all original with the 2 hood scoops' column shift auto. Where would the fender tag be located

Drive that car. There’s no reason to restore it now. Them kids will have found memories of working on Grandpa ‘s Roadrunners with Dad.

On the flat part of the inner fender near the battery. It is not there in the photo. It's of value to most car collectors to have it.

No fender tag and column shift is going to push the value down to the lower end of the range.

FYI here is a comparable: No sale for quite a while at $25k: 1969 Dodge Super Bee

Feder tag was removed when engine bay painted. There is original paint on whole car if the reason for question was if parts of vehicle match

Thank you. I've had no luck finding anything comparable. I'll look though what I have and see if I overlooked it
