69 upper door chrome trim clips

anyone know of a source for the clips that hold the exterior stainless trim on the top edge of 69 Plymouth convertible doors? I think it may have been an option in some hard tops as well. A few of my clips have rusted away and I need to find some replacements. Also does anyone know if the clips in that same molding on a 68-69 charger are the same?

From what ive seen on my convertible, the belt molding is all the same 68-70, you should be good using the charger trim and clips. Not sure on a location to get new clips though.

I'm going through this myself right now on my '70 vert. The trim on the door (+ around the back on convertibles) is called "belt molding". Belt molding is "standard equipment" on all convertibles and the door trim/clips are the same as hardtops. I just broke a clip on my car installing that pieces....but I think I stumbled onto 5-6 extra clips today. I only need one, so I have a few extras I believe. Send me a pm.

A long long time ago in a galaxy far away (Carlisle), I spotted a pair of boxes with part numbers for NOS door belt moldings on a guys table underneath a pile of chrysler radios (true story). So I ask him what's in the boxes, he doesn't know for sure, older gent. Sure enough both had NOS moldings AND the really hard to find clips for them. $20 and I was happily on my way. The clips have a piece of weatherstip to prevent moisture from entering the clip holes in the door and quarter.

The door belt moldings are the same between verts and hardtops, the qtr panel belt moldings are different.

Thanks for the info guys. I have access to a couple of charger parts cars. Just didn’t know for sure if those pieces were the same.

68-70 Charger door belt molding clips are not the same as other B-Bodies. Charger door belt moldings are angled from front to back and take various size clips, smaller at front to larger at the back. I should have some of the non Charger belt molding clips if you still need some, PM me
