Good looking engine bay....any more pictures you want to share?
BTW I cannot help with the A/C question.....but I do have a B51 on my tag. :)

Beautiful Car!

I didn't think you could order that combo. Had to be automatic to have A/C.

I thought that too, but "maybe" since Mopar did some odd stuff sometimes. At least on 70 Road Runners you only could get A/C with a 383 automatic. No six packs, no 4 spd, no Hemi, no dana, no air grabber

had been told that the 440 six packs & hemi there was no room for the a/c stuff - but 440 4bbl 4sp it could fit?? cant seem to find out for sure

appreciate the incite as I'm a newbie - Thnx !

I don’t believe the combo was ever an option. What does the fender tag say?

There have been a couple 70 Super Bee 383 4 speed a/c cars surface lately.

I also thought no 440 4 speeds with a/c after a certain date.

H51 is the fender tag A/C code.

D21 is 4 speed IIRC.

Let's see the tag.

Zero.

A 69 Coronet R/T vert with D21 H51 on the tag was recently for sale. It's a conversion from an automatic with a bad fender tag.

this shed any light - all i got w car - no build sheet

Yes.

VIN, SPD and VON look legit.
No inspection stamp in upper right hand corner, no punch through inspection stamp, no bend in upper left hand corner.

Info likely copied from original tag with A34 and D21 added.

Fender tags are the easiest documentation to fake. With no BS or window sticker to back up the tag.....well...

If the car did not have the N96 Fresh Air induction(and it appears from your pics it does not...), it would have been possible to get A/C, irregardless of whether it was a four speed or automatic transmission.

If you have more than one documented 440 four speed A/C car, please share.

The first thing that cought my eye was the character stampings look to be somewhat flattened.

Did StL cars get an insp punch?

My 73 def does not have a bent corner.

that tag looks pretty old to me, does anyone think repopping a phony tag was worth the hassle 30 or so years ago? I bought my GTX, running and driving, for 900 bucks back then
