A friend of mine is restoring a 63 Savoy to Super Stock klone, and is planning onpurchasing a used complete 71 frontend (from Dodge Charger R/T). This includes k-member, swaybar, upper- and lower-arms, spindles, rotors, calipers.

My question, or...his question is simple: does it fit?

Thanks!

Yes, I believe it will. But it will also move the engine BACK in the car...closer to the firewall

Are we talking about inches? Or millimeters?
The engine will be a xram with dual carbs backed up by an A833...

It will all fit, but move the engine back about 1 5/8". Or you could use your original K-frame and all the other stuff from the '71.

If your building an SS clone you'll need to move the engine back. But keep in mind if you do the 71 K frame you don't just move the engine back. You also move the lower control arms back 1 5/8". It's better to use your K and the parts from the 71. If he goes the full SS route Mancini has mounts for it. And if he uses a 70 up 833 the cross member can stay the same. They have the mount in the same place as an automatic.

Nope, the lower control arms stay in the same place. Only engine placement is affected. If they moved back, the torsion bars would be shorter in the '66-up cars and the strut rods would be longer. They aren't.
