71 gtx trunk deck

I bought a 72 deck off a sebring and it fits good but does not have the cutouts for the spoiler like my original deck. Since my car didn't come with a spoiler my question is did all gtx decks have the cutouts just in case or what's the deal?

Depends on what you mean by cutouts. I believe all the deck lids were the same. They all had the indents for where the wing reinforcements would go, but unless a wing was ordered the holes were not drilled and the reinforcement plates weren't installed, so there would just be an indent there.

All 71 deck lids have the cut outs for the wing as well as some early 72's otherwise 72-4 did not have the cutouts. 71B cutouts are pretty easy to cut out.

Thanks moparmarks. I guess I will leave the deck with no cutouts and not worry about it.
