71 vs 72 gear box

is there any difference between a 71 to 72 power steering gear box? All gear box rebuild kits i look at say 64-72 but when I comparing my 71 manual to 72 manual the exploded pics the internals look different.

i've heard the 72's were better, but that's just what i've heard around the water cooler, no real data to follow.

I ordered a rebuild kit edelman 8539 i just hope it works $22 in ebay for my 71
