71 washer bottle

Well afer spending 230 Canadian on my windshield washer bottle kit, aftermarket of course the dam thing leaks,at the rubber gromet right wear the filter screan slides into..I guess RVT time.i will not ever use pisser juice but the tank should be there and filled with blue fluid.hanks for letting me rant

I am using the original tank, with an external aftermarket pump. Works okay. The squirters go back and forth with the wiper blades. That required some difficult plumbing.
A new wiper motor, 2 speed and we are good to go. But I would like some one smarter than me, to tell me how to slow down the wiper speed.

The leak is probably coming from the black rubber seal, unless your bottle or pump is cracked. I’ve noticed some of the repro washer bottles come with a wimpier rubber seal. Originals also came with a white nylon washer sandwiched between the filter and the rubber seal which helped to compress the rubber.

Can you post some pics of what came in your kit?

I have some extra OE-style seals if you want to try one.

Seems like there are a rare few that actually use their windshield washers. I don't put washer fluid in a tank that I will never use, it's just there for the looks. Having said that, I don't drive in the rain either.
