727 column shift linkage

Ive bought Lokars throttle cable and kickdown cable... does the kickdown replace everything or do I need to still find a column shift linkage??? Thanks in advance... and for “that guy” yes I’ve used the search function with no luck.

I believe you still will need the shift linkage - that will select the gears.
The Lokar cable only controls the throttle valve position.

Lokar says the kickdown cable should eliminate 3 rods but I’m not sure if the column linkage is one

The cables you have are throttle from carb to gas peddle and kickdown from carb to transmission. Most factory style kickdown linkages are a 3 piece setup, which is what they are referring to.
You still need a shifter linkage for column to transmission for gear selection.
