Can someone tell me on the transmission where the cable/ rod connects if the arm is all the way towards the front of car would that be park or 1st gear? I did not take it apart ( I acquired it this way) with no shifting mechanism. I am installing a Lokar floor shifter and just want to can it connected properly.

i am about 99 percent sure that when the arm on the transmission is all the way in the back towards the back of the car that is park and all the way up front is 1st gear. somebody will correct me if i am wrong
