On a 1968 charger with 440 4 speed transmission, getting ready to actually drive this car. Got motor running, found first gear, found reverse gear, when I let the clutch out, it engages half inch off the floor, which is way too low for me. Also sitting in driver seat looking at the shifter, lever and knob, “seems” like everything points image.jpgimage.jpgto the right more than it should be? See pictures.

Maybe the wrong shifter handle for your year/model ?? Regardless of where it points, it won't affect the clutch engagement.

My clutch also engages very low. I'm using a diaphram clutch. I seem to recall it engaged higher with a stock-style Borg and Beck. What type is yours?
