727 Torque Flight Locks In Reverse

My car won't move in reverse with the engine running or not, or in neutral. The rear wheels are locked up but you can push the car forward. It only locks in reverse or if you try to push it backwards, it won't budge. 1979 Chrysler 300, Heavy Duty everything from the factory. Any ideas? Just started this yesterday. :eusa_think:

It shifts in all forward gears. I removed the driveshaft and the car rolls backwards. It has to be in the trans.

Wondering if a welded sprag will cause that. Maybe a torn case.Disclaimer I,m not a trans guy. Just guessing

Have any repairs recently be done to the car or did this just suddenly start happening?

Could be broken planetary gears. Whatever it is, it will have to come apart.

The only thing I have done latetly is a cam and intake swap. Starter went out so I replaced it. Then wham, the car won't go in reverse or roll backwards.......
