I'm looking for hard-to-find rear bumper trim for my 73 RR. I've seen some on Ebay, but they're not the right ones. I need the center piece, which is rubber over a metal clip that fits over the top edge of the middle of the bumper. Also need the end caps that also have rubber pieces over metal clips that bolt on.
All suggestions welcome.
Thx, Luther

Ralph

Go ahead and post his name if he will let you. I also have been trying to find a set of end pieces for more than a year now

There's a set of the end caps on the junk Satellite at the junkyard near my house, but you have to take the bumper off to get them off. It took me close to 12 hours on Saturday to get my old bumper off, so that's not an experience I want to repeat. :(

I'll bet that was no damn fun. I had to get out the dremmel and square cut the bolt heads off and then push them through. I think I may try a nut splitter or freeze and break the front nuts when it's time to take that one off

Doesn't sound like much fun. If I can find the pieces, I have a friend at the local Chrysler dealer body shop that will put them on for me. Just need to find the damn things!

Ralph Cali: I sent you a PM re. the guy that can provide the pieces, but didn't hear back. So maybe it didn't get thru. So can you try sending me a PM with the info?
Thx, Luther

I also need these for my 73 RR!!!! Let me know if you find something out!

Thanks
Paul

That would be Frank Mitchell that was selling those (out of Atlanta) , he has always been way too proud of his stuff, but sometimes you can't find it elsewhere, and he knows it (had to break down and buy the rubber steering coupler from him last year , think I paid 180 and Bouchillon and Arizona had them for half that, but never got them in.) This site gives instructions on a home made version (great website if you have a 73-4 BTW) :

Here's Mitchell's site - call him if you dare, have a decent balance on your VISA :
