As a retirement present to myself, I had a 30'x40' shop built with a lift and lath, milling machine and i'm learning to use them. My fist car was a 33 Plymouth coupe w/ 318- 904, S-10 rear. Replaced 318 w/ 331 hemi which I rebuilt and put on a blower and 700 R4. In the middle of that 4 yr project, i picket up a 27 T w/350 and 350 trans. more or less complete.
A year or so ago I picked up a 74 charger stocker w 100,000 mi. w/400 -727 and a rotten roof under vinyl. Decided to resto mod it w/ a 2014 5.7 Hemi w/trans out of a pickup. Used a crown Vic front end, all mounted and engine in but not wired yet.
Took rear out today and ordered new leaf springs. I was thinking of making

a set of traction bars out of some stainless but I am wondering if I need them. The second and third leafs go all the way to the front spring hanger and its only 21" to the front hanger from the axle. Can anyone advise me? 144.jpg

Nice retirement present! Sounds like your enjoying it, welcome aboard.

Welcome to FBBO and nice garage and cars too. I would drive the Charger first and see if it needs the traction bars.

Any pics of your Crown Vic ifs in the Charger? I'd like to see how you did that.
