I know the 74's have the seatbelt switch/sensor but does it no allow the engine to crank or start if ur not buckled in? Dont know if mine has been bypassed/unplugged.
It sounds like the best thing to do would be to jump the wires at the override switch. Then you avoid having to mess with any of the seat or buckle switches. What an awful system. If there are more than two wires going into the override then you'll need to get a wire diagram.
Ok, the car fired and ran yesterday with no problems. Looked under the seats and no rails/sensors or box in the engine bay. The vin shows 1974 but date of mfg is 10-1973
