It's behind my built 6.1He posted back in November about a 6.4 Hemi/8HP70 swap into his '64. So it's definitely not behind any big block.

Nope. Not much bigger than a turbo 350. Maybe taller. Is that the Z(ed)F? Thought they are huge.
Home built cross member. $1000 for harness and controller. Plug and play!Holley cross member eliminator kit?
Russell Drake = sound german?
How much was the harness and controller?
Bolted right up to my 2010 engine. I needed a different starter.Did it bolt straight up or did you have to use an adapter plate? Or a special flexplate?
Would love to see any build photos. How did you install the shifter?
The 8hp70 is 9" tall at the back mount, I have one in my 2012 charger. It's not the shape of a 727 or turbo 350
Russell said it would handle 500hp easily, about what my 6.1 dynoed. What are the torque ratings for that trans ? Just curious , is the 6.1 stock or warmed by over?
I have a nag1 in the shop but the 8spd only in my car so far. I got a 5.7/nag1 for $400 with shifter and computers as cores to trial fit before Russell supported the 8spdYou can mount the shifter anywhere you want, it's fly by wire. No linkage. Yeah it's taller. My car was a original 4 speed and had that shifter hump so that helped. You ever seen one removed and setting on a pallet?
Sound german , Russel Drake controller and harness. What are you using for a controller on your engine?
