9 to 5 Really?

I worked 7am-3pm for many years on the railroad. For awhile it was 6am-4pm when we had four ten hour days per week. I liked that shift.

I also worked a lot of 3pm-11pm shifts, by choice.

I'm kind of glad that there is no such thing as a 8 hour work day. If there were such a thing I'd probably never consider retirement.

The one place where I worked we did 4 10 hour days and had Friday off.

I worked 8:30 to 5 out of high school till I was 26 in '78. from '78 till '01 I never worked a day. Then 3 years of unemployment. Then two years of 13 hour days for the worst company on the planet and asshole management. Then I got fired and swore I'd never work for anyone again. Started a couple businesses and never looked back.

As a trucker I've been running 12-14hrs a day for over 22 years....

When on the farm,drove big rigs during harvest season hauling grapes. That was 35+ years ago.

I don't work
