90's Music Anyone?

From one of the most talented guitarists ever...

Taken too soon.

Ya'll are reminding me that that sure was some weak *** music in the 90's, even from historically good bands.

Then again, some stuff is worth digging for-

...and what part of "the win" do folks not understand?

Not sure how you can beat a song that has a 440 six pack motor on the cover, repeats the line- drag racing, has both Petty and Junior Johnson in the video, has steel guitar, references Jerry Lee Lewis, and is about as metal as you can get (in both 4/4 and 5/4 time at the same time), but can also dance to it.

Absolutely right though- just my opinion.

Warrant? That was so eighties..
The '90s were great, especially the early '90s. That was my generation. Oasis, Gin Blossoms, Days of the Noo, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Hole, Harvey Danger, Beck, PJ Harvey, Veruca Salt, Wax (California), Rancid, Sponge (Wax Ecstatic), Sonic Youth, Natalie Merchant and 10,000 Maniacs, The Cardigans, Elastica, The Offspring, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, etc., etc.
The Pixies, Liz Phair, The Breeders, Blur, Kid Rock, and many more.
Red Hot Chili Peppers, 7 Mary 3, Toad the Wet Sprocket.

I really got sick of the Hair bands. I remember when Sea Of Sorrow and Smells Like Teen Spirit took over the airwaves. I was so happy.

Warrant and the hair bands weren't bad bands, it was just over exposure. The genre had run it's course, at least to me.

The 90's was a rough era for music. Heavy Metal was dead. Grunge came in strong, but heroin took away so many talented artists. One of the best albums of the early 90's was born from a heroin overdose.
