A little cam help.

Playing with inputs on the Wallace calculator.......
In order for a 9.4:1 440 to show 175psi cranking compression requires an IVC point of about 45ABDC.

Which is about what you’d get with a 268 cam....... that was advanced about a tooth off.

I’d be verifying the 175psi results with a different gauge.
Of course if the lifters are basically collapsed for the test, the numbers will be higher.
(Another reason to stay away from hyd cams)

Just got off the phone with Isky. After a nice talk I ordered a 292 Mega. 244@050 108 LSA on a 104 ICL 505 lift. I ordered their anti pump up lifters and a new 3 bolt T Chain. Now for a 2 week wait for them to grind it. I'll continue my tuning efforts while I wait. Thanks for all the input guys. I think this cam will work for these heads while I wait for new heads to become available. I'm thinking a set of TF 240's will fit my needs and work with this cam and pistons.
