A quick P.S.A. for all to read

Who's minding these websites and enforcing the rules when a person is approved for membership using their E-mail address as a screen name and approved by the FCBO Administrator themself?? It seems that there's no standardization and enforcement of the rules when this kind of uncalled for nonsense is allowed on Joey's sites! So, who's to blame for this?????

Ok, so --- you chose to start this thread instead of sending me a PM and alerting me to it? Is there some reason that starting this drama BS is preferable to just taking the most direct way to solve the problem?

I have found that there are some posts that seem to hang around despite them being outside the rules.
It makes sense that some stuff slips through the cracks. The Moderators usually have jobs (unlike some of us retired folks..) and they literally don't have the time to look at every post in every thread to root out every issue.
They rely on the members sometimes to alert them.
Some people see something wrong and just click away without notifying. I understand the tendency to not get involved but reporting suspicious behavior is a good thing and helps the forum run.

Well, we get over 1000 posts per day on both FABO and FBBO. Another 300 or so a day on FCBO. The other sites are slower and need less attention. Regardless, it is a lot of posts and clearly we cant review every one. So yes we rely on member reports.

I actually review EVERY new membership to prevent scammers as best I can. I catch the vast majority of them.

In this case, it was a user that didnt realize he shouldnt use an email address. I let him join but I PMd him right after he joined a few days ago informing him of the concern.

Me too -- but thats not what this is here.

I did not involve you directly, as it was handled through KIWI and Cranky. The next time I will surely get you involved immediately...cr8crshr/Bill :usflag: :usflag: :usflag:

I certainly agree. And I believe one doesn’t even have a Mopar any longer. I could easily be mistaken.
Negativity does not make any benefit to the group sometimes.
Figures you Canucks would both come up with this nonsense!!! And yes I no longer have a MOPAR as I can no longer maintain one due to aging. Something you might want to take into consideration the next time you open your Pie Hole!!! Finally...There are always 2 sides to every discussion and equation. Obviously you missed out on that lesson plan...cr8crshr/Bill :usflag: :usflag: :usflag:

It has been suggested here in the past by some disgruntled members that I should resign my post as I no longer have a B-Body. I am still an enthusiast, and who knows if one day the right car will come along for me.
I still own an iconic Mopar, and I still enjoy this hobby.

BTW.... a couple of the most prolific posters on FABO don't even have a Mopar - and at least one of them has never confirmed it.
