Hey yall, the names Chris. Little about myself, 21 years old, currently deployed overseas with my battalion. Im a Engineer with the Seabees. Never knew this place existed to be honest, im on way to many forums to keep track haha. I have a 98 Camaro Z28 hence the name, and a 2007 Chevy Colorado z71. Been playing with cars forever, the camaro has had Forged bottom end LS6 CNCd Ported LS6 heads, Cam, LS6 Intake, Built Trans, and 4000 stall with 4.10 gears. N20 is hooked up never sprayed. The truck is lifted 7" with 33" tires.

As for me on here, my father had a 68 RR 383 Blue Post car. My goal is to find one or a satelitte to literally recorate his old car for him and give it to him. The truck will probably be sold to fund 90% of this project. So my quest starts here, Ive been on craigslist, ebay, literally everything and cant find anything w/o breaking the bank. I found a bunch of 69 my asking my father he says he thinks you cant get the 68 tailights to fit. Anyone know, hopefully I can find my car here to give to him, and maybe find a 70's mopar for myself.

Thanks for reading

Chris

Most parts from 68 fit a 69 and to an extent 1970 under the hood also ...Minor Body changes 68 to 69..Front Grill, Hood inserts for the most part and at first glance to tell year to year 68 has Round side light markers 69 has Square...This site is great for finding a good deal as is CL..Also try Moparts.com has many B-Body cars listed for sale..Ask questions here before you buy if your not sure on something and post photos if you can and you will get many replys...I have been doing Mopar for 26 years and I learn something here every day..

Welcome Chris, Thanks for serving our great country. This is a good place for information so just check back regularly and ask questions. Good luck with your search.

Welcome to the site Chris. Thanks for your service to our great country. I am finishing up A resto on my 68 Roadrunner now. Check out my resto thread. Sorry , its not for sale.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! Thanks for serving our great country my friend!Your father has great taste in cars, too bad the apple didn't fall a little closer to the tree! (just bustin' your balls!)
The `68 tail lights will not fit on a `69 without modifying the last 4 to 6" of the quarters and the trunklids are different. Side markers, rear bumper has reverse lights in it in `69 instead of in the tail lights like in `68. Inner door lock buttons further forward in `69, different dash pad, etc.
Good luck with your search for a `68.

Welcome, like others I thank you for your service and wish you well in your quest.

I have since being on this quest, gotten a soft spot for mopars. Oh and when the camaro blew up the old mans first words were, shoulda bought a mopar hahaha

Thanks for you service & great to see your trying to do something cool for your Dad, try Google 68 Road Runner for sale, there are a bunch of sites you could check... I too have allot of Chevy/GM stuff in my history too, but Mopars are my 1st love... Not allot of real Gm & especially Camaro Fans here, as you probably now know... Good luck in your quest for a 68 RR, one of my favorite cars... I have one now...
