Good morning all…

Can you assist in ID’ing the 4 speed I have in my ‘69 Super Bee?

From what I’ve read, the casting numbers typically start with a “9”. Mine looks like “88128”. I can’t seem to find a reference to that number. Casting date looks like 2/3/69.

Thanks!!
Bob

Looks like the VIN stamp starts "0B"? - So 1970 Hamtramck car if so?

Trans is not original to the car. It was auto from the factory.

The answer to your question lies in the VIN stamp. It appears to be a '69 or '70 transmission out of a Hamtrack built car meaning it could be out of a 69 Charger (most likely) OR A body or a '70 E or A body.

So...what is the VIN number stamped in the transmission? That, combined with the spline count on the input shaft, will answer your question quicker than worrying about the casting marks.
