AC yes or no

I installed Vintage Air system on my 1964 Polara. No "kit" available for it, so I had to noodle out all the pieces I needed for it. I have about $3500.00 into it, with all the pieces coming from across the border, and weak Canadian $. I think you could do it for $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 U.S., for parts.

Why does the steering column need to come out?

Why does the steering column need to come out?
In all honesty

It doesnt really HAVE to come out

But trust me, it would make the job A LOT easier

Myself would remove the column , and ft seats ( and console if equipped )
It makes it A LOT easier on the installers back

I just did the math
Hell , I could pick it up,
Install the AC and deliver it and still be under $10 k, well under

We are more interested in heaters. The van has air scopes to let in outside air. So far we have not been too hot when driving. Parked we can be too hot, but the awning fixes that.
We have screens to keep out the mosquitoes with the door windows down.
