Is there an accurate temperature sending unit available anymore? I recently pulled the cluster out of my 69 Bee and I calibrated them against a gauge tester I built. Empty is 73 ohms, mid point is 23, and full is 10. Even the fuel gauge is dead on accurate after I rebuilt one of my many factory fuel sending units I have saved up. My dilemma is when the thermostat opens at 180, the temp gauge is almost 3/4 of the way up, hovering at the “2” at 230. I verified the temp with an infrared thermometer, as well as a mechanical gauge. I know there are many different sending units available, all of them made in chong kong or somewhere in the orient, but are ANY calibrated for a 250 degree gauge and actually accurate?
