The expanda-stroke connecting rods I ordered for FURYIOUS came in FINALLY. ACME engineering now located in China makes these awesome rods. They start off with the stock factory 3.38 stroke on the low deck B engine Mopar 383/400. As RPM increases the inertia springs expand the stroke to 4.0 inches. This greatly increases mid -range torque & upper RPM horsepower. OUTSTANDING engineering by ACME ! I’m so pleased to have the first set of these avaliable & can’t wait to get them installed. And best of all is no balancing required ! At only $1600 a set that’s WAY cheaper than a stroker Kit !

Acme you say? Now where have I heard that name before? HMMMMM! ruffcut Beep Beep!

Unfortunately lengthening the rods doesn't increase the stroke.
Mr. R. Runner at ACME can really sell stuff. He must have learned from Ron Popeil.

I thought Ronco made those....?

It increases compression by lengthening the rod. Stroke remains the same. The piston still travels the same distance in the bore.

Agreed - if they are fixed.

Maybe it was the genius of W. E. Coyote? He might have tuned the springs and operation (OK I'm reaching here! :p), so that the springs compress at the bottom of the stroke, and that would effectively increase the stroke - it would pull the piston down further in the bore.

That spring has a right-hand twist...must be for cylinders 2, 4, 6, & 8.
