My 71 Satellite came with non-origional rallye wheels, acorn centers, & mix-matched trim rings. I never paid much attention as I got the car as a project & plan on replacing the wheels with something else to clear my disk brake conversion. I figured down the road to sell the rims, caps, & rings separately once I pinpoint the proper years of the parts...
Last week I noticed one center has a removable knockout in it, so now I dont even have a matching set of caps, but it spiked my curiosity as to why some of these caps are made this way.
Can anybody tell me what these were used/sold on & what the purpose of the knockout is for? I was thinking perhaps a truck application...
Thanks in advance!

IIRC center holes were 75 and up.
