I want to leave my factory gauge hooked up but I want to mount a manuel gauge out of the other side with some short pieces of pipe. I know people have done this and it would save me about 20 trips to the store to get all the right pieces gathered up. I just want it stubbed up right behind the intake where you can see it from the side. It is on a 70 383. Thanks for the help

You'll need a "t" fitting with 1/8 male npt to 1/8 female npt. That will allow the fitting to go into the factory location and the factory gauge and the other gauge to work.

I am not sure these will work in your application, but there are combination sending units that allow both a warning light and a gauge.

Yep, just did this on my Road Runner. I used a brass T and a 2" nipple. Easy peasy.

Most blocks have two plugs on the back of the block. You should be able to leave the existing sender alone and just pull out the other plug to add your manual gauge

Yes, seems to always be two holes but different sizes. The factory uses the 1/8" NPT for the gauge or switch and the other side is a 1/4" NPT plug. Aftermarket oil pressure gauges usually have some pipe bushings included in the kit so should be an easy deal. Don't over tighten the small ferrule / compression fitting, use copper tube and a dab of red loctite to seal the tube to the ferrule.

That is what I want to do but the one I seen was all pipe with out any copper line in it. It just came up off the block then had a about a 30 degree elbow in it and the gauge was mounted on the end of short 1/4" pipe
